seeing as that someone was supposed to get me tickets for webster hall and they didn't
and being as that i'd rather not get extorted on craigs list i figured i would ask if anybody had extra tickets that they wanted to share.
my email is kimanirogers@gmail.com

modern world video Mar. 26th, 2006 @ 05:14 pm
Adam Bizanski's amazing new video for Wolf Parade's Modern World can now be seen below.

Wolf Parade - Modern World video cap

i feel undecided, the video just doesn't seem to suit the song. it means well and all. the video itself is really good and the song itself is really good, but they seem kind of weird together. thoughts?

Sunset Rubdown Community Mar. 4th, 2006 @ 01:26 pm
Being as there wasn't one yet, I just started a Sunset Rubdown community. There is absolutely nothing on it yet, but there is one now. Just wanted to tell you guys.

Don't know how long it's been up, but Shut Up I Am Dreaming is up for pre-order. Who has heard the album and what do you think of it? I reeeeeally like it, but (so far) not as much as the EP or SGAL. It's kind of too busy at a few points for me and it makes me wish he hadn't made Sunset Rubdown into a full band. But I have to say, "Shut Up I Am Dreaming of Places Where Lovers Have Wings" is just...tgsm vgjv so good.

Looks like the full set of dates with Frog Eyes are up now too. They've actually been up a while, but I keep checking back in hopes that they'll change the Chicago show to 18+. Dicks.

Edit: Okay, now that I've listened to it like a million times, I've already changed my opinion. I love it just as much as the other albums.

Does anyone have extra tickets for wolf parade at the black cat (dc) on april 12th, by any chance? I'd be willing to pay quite a bit more than they were at the box office. Thank you!

I might be using "Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts" for an assigment for a history class I'm taking, and we're required to turn the lyrics in. Only thing is, I'm not sure about all of the lyrics, and searching online hasn't helped too much because they vary from site to site.

Anyone know if these are right? There's a few lines/words that don't seem right to meCollapse )

So Wolf Parade is going to be on Craig Ferguson tonight for sure (assuming they don't run out of time?)??

What the fuck Craig Ferguson?
You can't do that to me.

I laugh. Has anyone else seen this? I just found it whilst searching for Sunset Rubdown tour dates because...

may 20 - FROG EYES / SUNSET RUBDOWN El Salon. (which is really of interest to any in the Montreal area...)

Hello all!

I'm a long time reader of this community dedicated to my favourite band
in the world, yet only now did I take the time to join. So as a gift to
you all, I'm posting a link to a .zip of some live and rare Wolf
Parade which I have in my collection! I didn't record these, I stumbled
upon them in my neverending search for more WP. Here is a list of
what's in the zip:

-2 live versions of a new Spencer-sung song with the chorus "I'll sing you in songs"

-A new upbeat Dan-sung song from the show at Theatre Plaza in Montreal (sometime in november or october)

-Another new mid-tempo Dan-sung song from the Theatre Plaza show

-A wonderful new Spencer-sung song which has been circulating the net
under the title "Bones Song", also from the Theatre Plaza show

-A live version of Secret Knives from the Theatre Plaza show which I personally think is better than the one from the 1st EP

-The cover of Frog Eyes' "Claxxon's Lament" which WP recorded for The Believer magazine

Hopefully I'm not doing anything illegal in posting these here. Just
wanted to do a nice thing. If/when this link expires, request so and I
will repost it, or somebody else will.

wolfy regards,

Wolf Parade is going to be on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson [CBS] Tuesday January 3rd. Seeing them on national TV...! That seems kinda weird to me.
» Wolf Parade Icons
I was wondering if anyone had made, or knew of, any wolf parade icons i could use. I had to make the ones i use now, and i'm a terrible icon maker.

» Just something interesting...
I went Christmas shopping yesterday and I saw Dan. I was in a store downtown and I turned around and there he was. It was kind of weird. I wasn't sure if it was him or not, but as I looked more, it was definitely him. And I figured it had to be him because he was with the same girl as I saw when they played here with Arcade Fire. I definitely remember the girl cause Dan wanted her in the picture with me and him. I didn't go up to him this time cause I felt weird about it, but I thought that was pretty cool to just bump into him. I thought he moved to Montreal? Or maybe he was just visiting home?
